TIME TO DREAM….SPRING !
Well here we are…..SPRING 2011! I’m sure that most of us are dreaming of FRESH veggies about now! We sure are!
We would like to pass on as much info. as we can to those of you who may be new to raising their own produce and to share any tips with all you veteran growers as well. So this week we will start with some basic help.
1) Think about what vegetables your family enjoys the most .
2) Now how many of these may you be able to grow is the BIG one! A lot goes into this one. Plot size, soil type, location, and how much time you will have to tend the garden are a few.
3) Will you be growing for fresh only or some extra for storage?
4) Dream but be practical in your choices. You and your family will enjoy the experience more!
5) Think about growing together with other members of the family or get together with friends if this is practical. Sharing the cost and enjoying the harvest together throughout the growing season will create many special moments for all!
